Swedish
This is the traditional table massage that comes to mind when people hear the word "massage". A combination of compression, kneading and gliding strokes are used to relax and release muscles that are overly tight or are recovering from injury. The pressure used during Swedish massage can vary from light to very firm (deep pressure); the massage therapist will work with the client to determine what pressure level is comfortable for them.
Deep Tissue
Many people believe that "Deep Tissue" and "Deep Pressure" are the same thing, but they are actually very different things. With Deep Tissue, the therapist uses a lighter touch in order to sweet talk their way past the superficial layer of muscle in order to address the deeper muscles (or tissues).
Prenatal (As long as their pregnancy is not considered high risk, clients are welcome at any point in all three trimesters)
A combination of gliding and kneading strokes are used to help mommy-to-be's body ease into the changes it faces during pregnancy. Clients will have the option of being positioned so they are laying on their side or are welcome to take advantage of the specially designed prenatal cushion that allows them to safely lay face down at any stage of their pregnancy.
